Booking Policy for Syndicate Creative Workshops

  • Please wear enclosed shoes to all workshops hosted at Syndicate Creative. All students must be present for health and safety induction in the studio prior to workshop commencement to ensure safe practice during your creative workshop at Syndicate Creative.

  • Club Creative and Syndicate Creative are not liable for any injury or damage to persons or possessions due to disregard of health and safety policies and procedures in the studio/workshop.

  • Syndicate Creative is located in the Club Creative warehouse at 6/100 Sugar Road Maroochydore.

  • Syndicate Creative welcomes the use of its facilities by persons from all ages and backgrounds.

  • Syndicate Creative reserves the right to absolute discretion in the use of their facilities and has the right to refuse any person or persons, body or organisation without giving reason thereof.

  • The student is only permitted to use, and have access to the specific part of the premises and equipment on the dates and at the times of the specified workshop.

  • Students are not permitted to send any other persons to collect their finished pieces for them without written permission by Syndicate Creative staff.

  • Students are not permitted to send any other persons to take part in any booked workshop on their behalf without written permission by Syndicate Creative staff.

  • Syndicate Creative is covered by public liability although all visitors to the space must attend Health and Safety induction prior to workshop commencement and adhere to the Health and Safety rules of Syndicate Creative and Club Creative space. Syndicate Creative and Club Creative are not liable for any injury to persons within the studio as a result of ignoring safety instructions and signage.

  • By entering your email address into our website you agree to receiving email marketing from Syndicate Creative. Please hit “Unsubscribe” or notify us via email if you wish to be removed from our email marketing system. Syndicate Creative puts the security of our clients at a high priority. Therefore, we have put efforts into ensuring that the message is error and virus-free. Unfortunately, full security of the email cannot be ensured as, despite our efforts, the data included in emails could be infected, intercepted, or corrupted. Therefore, the recipient should check the email for threats with proper software, as the sender does not accept liability for any damage inflicted by viewing the content of our emails via email marketing.

  • Any children attending workshops at Syndicate Creative must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Children are not permitted entry into Syndicate Creative unless they are accompanied by a parent and attending a workshop approved for children. Please check the age limit for your specific class or workshop or contact us if you are not sure. You can find this in the FAQ section on your workshop page. Children must be accompanied by adult supervision at all times.

  • The student must wear fully enclosed footwear.

  • Syndicate Creative must be made aware of any illness or injuries of the student.

  • We, Syndicate Creative will take photos during the workshops for promotional use, please inform us if you do not want your photo taken. Photos taken during the workshop will be used solely for promotional purposes of the studio at Syndicate Creative and Syndicate Creative Workshops by our social media pages, website and the social media pages of our staff.

  • Students must not touch any ceramics on the shelving units that do not belong to themselves. Any breakages of other students or staff ceramics by not following these guidelines must be paid for in full for the amount specified by Syndicate Creative. This may include the retail value of the item or the cost of the workshop for the student's broken item.

  • Tools, glazes and other equipment are owned by Syndicate Creative and must not be removed from the premises.

  • By booking a workshop with Syndicate Creative you agree to the terms and conditions listed on this page. It is the sole responsibility of the person booking the class to inform other participating students of our terms and conditions. This applies to booking tickets for other participants. Our terms and conditions also apply to participants who book via Instagram.

  • We do not offer refunds or class credits for change of mind, change of date for personal engagements, wrong date selection or incorrect workshop bookings. Please ensure you read all of the information and ensure you can attend all dates relevant to your workshop. For double sessions please ensure you can attend both sessions. You must attend the glazing session that is part of your purchased workshop. Your glazing session will be exactly a fortnight from your making session at the same time. We do not offer credits for your glazing session so please make sure you can attend both sessions. If you do not attend the glazing session for your booked workshop you must pay a re-booking fee of $35 to attend a seperate glazing session. You will be asked to join another public glazing session for this price.

  • Syndicate Creative reserves the right to offer class credits at its own discretion to students who may unexpectedly fall seriously ill. Please note as we are a small business we can only offer class credits at our own discretion if it does not impact us negatively. However, we do care about the health and wellbeing of our students. If you have been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 symptoms or regular flu or illness symptoms please do not attend the class. The health and wellbeing of all our students is of utmost importance to us. So if you feel unwell or have been in the presence of anyone who is unwell please stay home and keep our community safe. In the case of our local area going into lockdown by government law, we will happily offer all of our students class credits for that period.

  • All class credits must be used within 3 months. Covid credits must be used within 3 months of the original class date. To qualify for a 3 month class credit students must give a minimum of 48 hours notice of non attendance unless government restrictions such as sudden lockdown are put into effect. At its own discretion, Syndicate Creative may grant class credits to any special circumstance of sudden illness and with less than 48 hours notice to students. Class credits given to students with less than 48 hours notice must be used within 3 months of the original booking date.

  • Syndicate Creative does not offer refunds for private class bookings.

  • Syndicate Creative may offer at its own discretion a refund of up to 2 people per private class for larger bookings if non-attendance notice is given 48 hours prior to the workshop date. This rule only applies to workshops with 10 or more attendees.

  • In the event that a Syndicate Creative workshop is cancelled due to all teachers being unable to teach the workshop students will be offered a refund for the full workshop price or a class credit to be used within 3 months of the original class date.

  • Student work must be collected within a one month period post workshop. After one month we will donate or recycle any uncollected raw, bisqued or completed works. Due to the large number of items being created in our studio we cannot keep your creations longer than one month. You must notify us if you can not collect within one month. For example: If you are going travelling after your glazing session. If you can not collect within one month you may designate someone else to come and collect your pieces. Please notify us of who will collect your works. Your designated person must be approved in writing by Syndicate Creative staff to collect your pieces on your behalf. Any persons collecting your pieces for you are subject to our terms and conditions as your appointed collection person.

  • Wheel thrown students must attend their glazing session a fortnight after their making session. If you cannot attend your booked glazing session there will be a $35 fee per person to attend a public glazing session. Any student wheel thrown pieces that have not been glazed or completed will be recycled. This helps us lower our carbon footprint and create space in the studio.

  • Any rescheduling of glazing sessions for all class types must be scheduled and paid for within a week of your missed glazing session. Any student pieces remaining after this period will be recycled or donated.

  • Please make sure to write your name and correct contact phone number on your booking form and your class sheet during your workshop. We may use your name and phone number to contact you about collection of your finished works. Syndicate Creative is not responsible for contacting students for any collection of works. Students must contact us 3-4 weeks after your workshop to arrange a collection date and time.

  • Syndicate Creative is not liable for any breakages of student work in the drying process, firing process or storage process, however breakages in our studio are very rare as we are professional potters and have signage for students to not touch other students works. Syndicate Creative is not liable for any undesirable outcomes of works, including cracking, breakage, misfires or something not turning out as you had hoped. However, our experienced teachers will do our best to guide you so that this does not occur.

  • Every student must sign in to Club Creative & Syndicate Creative upon entry to the building if/when government guidelines specify.

  • Smoking is not permitted either within the building or on the grounds or Syndicate Creative & Club Creative. The use of illicit and illegal drugs is prohibited both within the building and on the grounds of Syndicate Creative & Club Creative.

  • Syndicate Creative does not tolerate any abuse to our staff or other attending students. Syndicate Creative reserves the right to remove any persons who do not respect our staff and other students.

  • All gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from purchase date. Vouchers must be used to make a purchase within the 3 year period. This includes purchases of classes that are purchased within the expiry date of your workshop but executed at a later date. If booking a workshop that is greater in value than the value of your voucher you are able to use your voucher code and then pay the remaining balance. This allows you to use your voucher to book in to any workshop. In the case that your workshop of choice is less in value than the value of your voucher we are happy to refund you the remaining balance of your voucher if less than $10 AUD. You can also use the remaining balance to add toward another workshop. If you wish to do this please contact us and we will book you in manually. Your voucher must be used for a public workshop via our website.
